Payment Restart

A failed payment does not have to mean a lost order. Customers can try again without leaving the purchase process.

How it works

If the first payment attempt fails, for example because the card is declined or there are insufficient funds, the gateway immediately gives the customer the option to try again instead of displaying an error message.

The customer does not need to return to the shopping cart or create a new order. They can choose another card or payment method and complete the order. This helps recover payments that would otherwise fail and can significantly increase conversion.

When it is useful

Payments fail in every e-shop, and many customers will not try again on their own.

Payment Restart is useful if you:

have payments that fail due to declined cards or insufficient funds,

want to give customers another chance without creating a new order,

care about every completed order, as even a small share of recovered payments adds up at higher volumes.
