Split payments

A single payment, split between both partners. Split the payment at the terminal between the merchant and the event organizer, system operator, or shopping center.

How it works

The customer pays at a Comgate payment terminal in the usual way. Upon settlement, the payment is divided according to the agreed-upon rules. One portion goes to the merchant, and the other portion goes to the event organizer, system operator, or shopping center.

The partner’s share is typically expressed as a percentage of the payment. It may represent, for example, a festival organizer’s fee, a point-of-sale system operating fee, or a revenue-based component of rent. The split applies to payments processed by Comgate terminals; cash or other sales are not automatically included.

The system enables daily settlement of split payments. This means the merchant does not have to first receive the full amount and then send the agreed-upon share to the partner via a separate transfer. This eliminates the need for manual recalculation of shares and subsequent transfers. Meanwhile, the customer pays for the purchase with a single payment.

When it is useful

For organizers of festivals and cultural events who receive a share of vendors’ sales, as well as shopping centers with rent based on sales volume. The service is also useful for operators of point-of-sale systems whose compensation depends on sales. Vendors must use Comgate payment terminals.
